Lake Mburo National Park
Uganda's most accessible park — zebra, walking safaris and open water

Small, close to Kampala and unusually relaxed. Lake Mburo is the only park in the region where you can walk, cycle and take a boat within the same day, and one of very few places in Uganda to see zebra. It works beautifully as a first stop for families or as a short break in its own right.

Yes — it is the shortest drive, the activities are varied and the days are shorter. Many families use it as a gentle first stop before a longer journey west.
It is possible but long. An overnight makes for a much better experience, and gives you both an evening and an early morning in the park.
